Second division soccer team Holstein Kiel will have to do without coach Marcel Rapp and assistant coach Dirk Bremser for their home game against FC Ingolstadt.
Both football teachers have been infected with the corona virus, the club announced on Friday before the press conference for this game.
Kiel - "I'm fine.
Only at the beginning did I have the usual symptoms such as a sore throat and a headache," reported the coach, who was in quarantine at home.
The 42-year-old and brakeman is represented on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky) against the FCI by the former professional and current assistant coach Fabian Boll.
"Maybe I'll get in touch with him at half-time, but otherwise Fabian coaches the game alone," said Rapp, who was joking again despite his illness.
"The job isn't a one-man show, so he (Boll) just has to do something more," said Rapp with a grin.
His team is under pressure after four defeats in a row and had four points ahead of the 16th relegation place before the 27th matchday.

To make matters worse, there are four other corona cases in the KSV Holstein team and in its environment, for which the club did not provide any further information.
The preparation for the important home game against the bottom of the table was therefore largely via zoom switching, and the professionals who were ready for action were also provided with video material.
"It's important to keep in touch because the boys have to have a good feeling," said Rapp.
