Incidence in Hamburg increases to 1192.7: 4115 new cases

The seven-day incidence of corona infections continues to rise in Hamburg.
The health authority gave the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week on Friday at 1192.7 - after 1138.8 on Thursday and 856.8 a week ago.
Hamburg – On a different calculation basis, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave an incidence of 924.4 for Hamburg.
The Hanseatic city thus had by far the lowest value among the federal states.
According to the RKI, the incidence across Germany rose to a new record of 1706.3.
According to the information, 4115 new infections were reported in Hamburg within one day.
4565 new cases were added on Thursday, 3088 a week ago.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in February 2020, at least 396,887 people have been proven to have been infected with the corona virus.
According to RKI estimates, around 333,500 of them are considered recovered.
The number of deaths related to the corona virus increased by 4 to 2348.
According to the register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI), 39 Covid 19 patients were in Hamburg intensive care units on Friday morning (11.15 a.m.), 23 of whom had to be invasively ventilated.
That was 4 more than at the same time the day before.
According to the health authorities, there were a total of 398 Covid 19 patients in the city’s clinics as of Thursday, 35 of them in intensive care units – five more or one less than the day before.
Current figures from the RKI on the incidence of hospitalization were not initially available on Friday.
On Thursday, the number of newly admitted Covid 19 patients per 100,000 inhabitants in Hamburg was 3.72 within a week.
Nationwide, the value was 7.58.
If limit values 3, 6 and 9 are exceeded, the federal states can impose stricter measures to combat the pandemic.

According to the RKI, 83.0 percent of Hamburgers have been vaccinated against the corona virus at least once.
82.8 percent now have complete basic protection with the second injection that is usually required.
So far, 59.2 percent have received a booster vaccination.
In a country comparison, Hamburg is second behind Bremen for the initial vaccination and basic immunization and sixth for booster vaccinations.
