Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated that the unprecedented sanctions imposed by Washington and the West on Russia are an attempt to marginalize its role and establish a unipolar world, pointing out that what is happening in Ukraine reflects that this Western approach has reached its climax.

Lavrov said during an interview with Russia Today, "The West has imposed more than 5,000 individual punishments against Russia, and this is an unparalleled record, and more will be imposed, but we will persevere and work to strengthen our strength to overcome its influence," adding, "For now, Russia can rely only on itself and the remaining allies." It no longer sees the West as a reliable partner..Europe has almost completely stopped defending its independence against the United States, which exerts great pressure and blackmail and wants the whole world to be dependent on it.

Lavrov indicated that his country would never accept a world dominated by the United States, which wants to act as a "global policeman", indicating at the same time that Russia does not close the door to the West and is open to cooperation with everyone on the basis of equality and respect.

Lavrov explained that the West tried to turn Ukraine into a state hostile to Russia, pointing out that the goal of the Russian special military operation in it is to be a neutral, demilitarized state free of Nazism that does not pose any threat, pointing out that the crisis between the two countries will end, but the West will try to intervene to maintain the contradictions between them.

Lavrov indicated that the Russian forces found evidence that Ukraine (after its failure to implement the Minsk agreements) was preparing for an all-out attack on the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, as well as secret documents proving Washington's support for a secret biological military program on the territory of Ukraine near the border with Russia in violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons .

Lavrov noted that Moscow does not rule out the possibility that Ukraine has formed the Pentagon's largest project to develop biological laboratories, stressing that Washington is required to provide clarification on this and that Russia insists on discussing this issue within the UN Security Council.

Regarding the West's supplying Ukraine with weapons, Lavrov stressed that any arms shipments arriving in Kyiv from abroad would constitute a legitimate military target for Moscow.

Lavrov stated that the West is also fighting a media war against Russia, as it blocks the Russian media and uses the media and social media platforms used by children and teenagers to spread hate speech against Moscow, and this is dishonest and unacceptable.
