Because of Corona, Zolling's mayor was only able to hold the first citizens' meeting live.

There was mostly good news.

Zolling

– citizens' assembly live: That had not been possible since he took office.

On Wednesday, Mayor Helmut Priller finally stood in the Zollinger Bürgersaal to give an account to the population.

It was about numbers and data, about projects and intentions.

And that he has gained eight kilos since May 2020, but the job is still "insanely fun".

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Priller also opened the citizens' meeting with a joke: After greeting his predecessors Max Riegler and Franz Obermeier, he joked that the two should actually sit on the gallery of the citizens' hall - like the two old Motzer Waldorf and Statler from the "Muppet Show".

But that was it with fun that evening, which was characterized by Priller's 100-minute presentation with 108 slides.

finance

The basis of action: finances.

Priller cited the most important figures from the 2021 and 2022 budgets, pointing out that the municipality had been debt-free for over ten years: "Thank you Max, thank you Franz!" It was important for Priller to emphasize that around 1.2 spend millions of euros a year on youth and education.

construction measures

The head of the municipality then presented the ongoing procedures in the land use planning: first the industrial estate East, where construction was about to begin and where Priller's conclusion was clear: "Everything was done right." the determination and resolution of the articles of incorporation are made.

The development plan "North of Plörnbacher Straße" in Thann, where building rights are to be created for five plots, is on hold.

After the installation decision in 2018, one is currently waiting for the clarification of the immission control problem.

In 2022, the area of the "Anglberg West" development and green space plan is to be developed.

In terms of civil engineering, it was above all the upgrading and expansion of the Zollinger sewage treatment plant that Priller named and which will cost around 1.6 million euros.

From the field of building construction, he introduced the new building yard hall for almost 270,000 euros.

The shingle roof and the outer facade of the chapel in Flitzing were repaired for a total of around 51,000 euros.

Not to forget, a construction trailer was purchased for the Kleine Strolche kindergarten so that the children have a place to stay on the day they spend in the forest.

Test center closes

Other topics included the citizens' magazine "Zollo" as "a hobbyhorse" of Priller, the mobile library, the rapid test center in Zolling, in which around 11,500 corona tests have been carried out since March 2021 and which will close on April 2nd, and the planned dirt park - and pump trail system next to the Anglberger Weiher, which should cost around 250,000 euros and should be realized in the second half of the year.

Citizen festival in planning

In a brief look ahead to 2022, Priller particularly emphasized participation in the city cycle (between June 26 and July 16) and made people want to come back on July 9: the citizens' festival should finally take place there again - at the central location on Rathausplatz and along the Bürgersaal , with a new organizing team and new ideas.

At the end of his report was the sentence: "Everything is good, everything is worth living and loving in Zolling."

bike lanes

But there were still written questions from citizens: Monika Berghammer from Palzing asked for a status report on the cycle paths to Haindlfing and Helfenbrunn;

especially with regard to the property negotiations.

Priller's answer: As far as the cycle path to Haindlfing is concerned, the municipality received the land acquisition plan including the list of owners from the city of Freising in November 2021 and informed them that they would take over the negotiation for the eight properties in question.

The acquisition of the land should be completed by August 2022.

Dangerous crossing

Sabrina Pietschmann wanted to know whether Kronthaler was planning a solution for the accident-prone Flitzing/Zolling intersection (state road 2054).

Priller said: "We are aware of the problem." He revealed something that the local councilors did not yet know either: The company Ingevost, commissioned to carry out traffic investigations and planning, had developed two options for defusing this hazardous area: an underpass for the state road or a crossing aid at the same height .

The result of the investigation: A ramp to the underpass must be 100 meters long in order to guarantee a maximum gradient of four percent for disabled people.

Because that is rather unrealistic, the office also examined the alternative of a crossing aid and considered this to be quite possible.

In order for this project to go a little faster than usual, Priller said that advance payments had been made.

The crossing aid will now be submitted to the state building authority as a proposal.
