China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dai Bing urged Washington to abandon arrogance and bigotry, abandon double standards and stop pointing fingers at other countries on human rights.

In response to the accusations made by US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas Greenfield during a General Assembly meeting on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination regarding China's human rights record, Dai was quoted as saying that "the United States must confront its own violations in this field," noting that Greenfield went so far as to exploit the meeting to launch political attacks and discredit China and many other countries regarding

its internal affairs.

Dai explained that the US allegations of the so-called "genocide" and "human rights violations" in China's Xinjiang are an outright lie and an evil political scheme orchestrated and planned by the United States, which China firmly opposes and firmly rejects.

He pointed out that since the founding of the United States, the American government has set policies to kill and loot American Indians in a deliberate and systematic manner, which led to the killing of 250 thousand people at the beginning of the 20th century, compared to 5 million people in 1492, adding that “this is an original sin that the United States cannot escape from. “.

For his part, Jiang Duan, minister at the Chinese mission to the United Nations in Geneva, said that the gross violations of indigenous rights by the United States, Canada and Australia are not just a thing of the past but a chronic and systematic racism issue that continues to this day.

Addressing a video conference hosted by the Permanent Mission of Venezuela and the Permanent Mission of China in Geneva during the 49th session of the Human Rights Council, Jiang said the United States, through killings, displacement and forced assimilation, has systematically deprived American Indians of their basic rights, including the right to life. and political, economic and cultural rights in an attempt to eliminate materially and culturally this entire society.

He continued, "Since the beginning of last year, there has been a horrific and sad discovery of a large number of unmarked graves and the remains of Aboriginal children in Canada, and the truth is still unknown to this day," noting that Australia followed the notorious "White Australia Policy" under which 100,000 Indigenous children were forcibly separated from their families, causing lifelong trauma and trauma to the "stolen generation".

Jiang urged the United States, Canada and Australia to think seriously about their mistakes, immediately amend laws, change policies that violate indigenous rights, investigate crimes and hold the real perpetrators to account.
