It is well known that you can get infected again after being infected with Corona.
However, a study from England now shows that numerous people have already been infected with Corona four times.
London – Research on the corona virus is ongoing.
There are regular new discoveries about the consequences of an infection.
Most recently, the results of Chinese researchers suggested that severe courses due to corona could be related to dementia.
Another study showed that the brain could possibly shrink as a result of a corona infection.
A new evaluation from England now shows that hundreds of thousands of people have already been infected several times with the corona virus.
These include people who have been infected up to four times.
The assumption that one is safe from re-infection after an infection therefore seems to be really wrong.

Around 7640 triple infections have been officially recorded since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
This was announced by the UK Health Security Agency (UK HSA) on Thursday evening.
Even more surprising: Among the people who were infected with Corona several times, there are a total of 62 people who were infected four times.
The interval between the infections was always at least 90 days.
A total of 715,154 reinfections - i.e. at least one second infection - were recorded by the British authorities by March 6 of this year.
Often, the reinfections are not even noticed because of, for example, mild symptoms, which is why experts assume a significantly higher number of such cases.

Those who have had multiple infections were probably often infected with different strains of the virus, East Anglia University medical professor Paul Hunter told

"This virus is going to be part of our lives," Hunter said.
“Many of us will get infected again every few years.
Even the grandchildren of our grandchildren will still get Corona.”
Even if immunity to the virus disappears again after a while, a previous infection usually prevents severe disease progression if you get infected again.
As in Germany, the number of new infections recorded is currently increasing in England.
A phenomenon that virologist Hendrik Streeck does not consider surprising.
Various factors lead to the current development.
Among other things, the omicron subtype BA.2, which is considered to be even more contagious than the first variant.
This is also spreading in England.
