The seven-day incidence of corona infections continues to rise in Hamburg.
The health authority gave the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week on Saturday as 1263.3 - after 1192.7 on Friday and 871.6 a week ago.
Hamburg – On a different calculation basis, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave an incidence of 981.3 for Hamburg.
The Hanseatic city thus had the lowest value among the federal states.
According to the RKI, the incidence rose to a new record of 1735 across Germany.
According to the information, 3998 new infections were reported in Hamburg within one day.
On Friday it was 4115 and a week ago it was 2655.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in February 2020, at least 400,885 people have been proven to have been infected with the corona virus.
The number of people who died in connection with the corona virus increased by 1 to 2349. There were 396 patients with a corona infection in the hospitals, 36 of them in the intensive care unit.
The RKI gave the hospitalization rate for Hamburg at 3.67.
Nationwide it was 7.81.

Further increasing corona numbers in Hamburg
According to the RKI, 83.0 percent of Hamburgers have been vaccinated against the corona virus at least once.
82.8 percent now have complete basic protection with the second injection that is usually necessary.
So far, 59.2 percent have received a booster vaccination.
