Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko considered that Russia is not just an ally of Belarus and said: "We are peoples of the same roots and one entity in the economic and military spheres."
Lukashenko stressed in an interview with the Japanese channel TBS, carried by the official Belarusian agency "Belta", that the closest allied relations are with Russia, adding: "We are a practically inseparable system from an economic point of view and we have one market. We supply half of our products to Russia... This is our main market." “.
Lukashenko explained that Belarus and Russia are practically one unit in production, economy and sales and one market, and said, "And militarily we have in general one group of armed forces, that is, we are closely related."
On Russia’s special military operation to protect Donbass, Lukashenko said: “Kyiv should not have nuclear weapons and threaten Russia,” noting that the situation in Ukraine is controlled by representatives of the West and the United States present in Kyiv, and expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that Japan joined Western sanctions against Belarus.
