The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian forces crossed the Kashlagach River in the Donbass region, penetrated the defenses of the Ukrainian Idar Battalion and eliminated 30 of its elements and advanced 5 kilometers.

The ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing this evening that the attack of the units of the Russian forces also resulted in the destruction of a tank, an infantry carrier and four four-wheel drive vehicles, indicating that these units are currently clashing with the 54-Mika Brigade of the Ukrainian army, which operates in the back line of defense lines in Donbass.

Konashenkov indicated that the Russian warplanes destroyed 59 Ukrainian military facilities, including 3 command centers, two missile launchers, two radar stations, two missile and missile depots, a radar device of the S-300 air defense system, and 5 drones, including a Bayraktar aircraft.

Konashenkov explained that an officer of the Ukrainian intelligence service voluntarily surrendered to the Russian forces and revealed information about plans prepared by the ultra-nationalists of the Azov Battalion to carry out attacks against diplomats and missions of the United States and other Western countries in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine, with the Kyiv regime ready to portray them as Russian attacks with the aim of putting pressure on NATO to intervene and impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine and send more weapons to it.
