A confrontation at the ministerial meeting discusses the question of where the thousands of new immigrants coming from Ukraine will live.
The discussion took place tonight (Sunday) at the Ministry of Finance, and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in it that there would be no escape from a horizontal cut in government ministries to fund the absorption of immigrants.
As for the housing issue, Lieberman said that "I see no other option but to set up caravan complexes."
The service Ayelet Shaked and Pnina Tamano Sheta did not like the idea.
The interior minister said that "one has to go from city to city, and check how much everyone can absorb before going to caravan sites."
Tamano Sheta added that "I myself grew up in caravans. It inhibits absorption. I oppose caravan complexes like in the 1990s."

Lieberman said in response that "my best life has been in caravans."
Tamano Sheta replied: "Apparently the Ethiopians gave other caravans."
Housing Minister Zeev Elkin agreed with Lieberman and said: "There is no escape from caravan sites."
