The boys' choir festival will take place in Bad Tölz from May 25th to 29th.

There is a special concert for young guests, namely with the indie band “Kytes”.

Singer Michael Player was trained in the Tölz Boys' Choir.

Bad Tölz - Now there are details about the supporting program of the boys' choir festival and the "pre-opening concert" on May 25th, which is designed as a surprise concert for young audiences.

"This concert is intended to attract younger audiences," the Tölz Boys' Choir and the tourist information center announced in a press release.

"Younger, music-loving generations should be motivated to deal with the different styles of music and thus slowly be won over to the festival, which takes place every two years." to present itself even more invitingly".

Supporting program with many local artists

The festival will open on Thursday, May 26 (Ascension Day) with a concert by the town band and boys' choir on Marktstraße.

Until Sunday, local music groups will perform under the motto "Music in the City", for example formations from the singing and music school, "Chorella" from Sachsenkam and the training choirs of the boys' choir.

At the "Pre-Opening Concert" (7 p.m., Kurhaus) the focus will be on the German indie band "Kytes".

Their singer Michael Player was discovered as a child by the talent scouts of the Tölz Boys' Choir.

He then went through classical training, which he describes as "a great time with great trips, great orchestras and great memories of the world's best conductors".

Player still sings in the men's choir of the boys' choir to this day.

Matinee in the Mühlfeld Church

New in the program is a matinee on May 28th at 11 am in the Mühlfeldkirche.

The male ensemble of the Tölz Boys' Choir sings under the direction of Michael Hofstetter.
