On the A661 near Frankfurt, a man is said to have attacked and seriously injured his ex-wife.

The police are looking for witnesses.

Update from Sunday, March 20th, 2022, 3:32 p.m .:

After the alleged knife attack on the A661 on Saturday evening (March 20th, 2022), the Frankfurt police published the first details about the suspect and the course of the crime.

Accordingly, the arrested person is a 41-year-old man.

He is said to have inflicted serious stab wounds on his ex-wife on the freeway.

The 40-year-old is currently in the hospital.

The suspect will soon be brought before a magistrate, as reported by fnp.de.*

On Saturday evening, the police were initially notified of an alleged collision on the A661 in the direction of Offenbach.

Two cars were parked at the Preungesheim triangle on the right-hand side of the road, it said.

A man should also "act violently on one of the standing cars and its driver".

Several police patrols arrested the 41-year-old shortly afterwards on the highway.

According to initial investigations, the suspect is said to have forced his ex-wife to stop with his car.

He then allegedly attacked her with a knife and injured her.

The police in Frankfurt are assuming a relationship crime.

There were extensive investigations at the scene of the crime on the A661.

Now possible witnesses are in demand.

Frankfurt – An alleged accident on the A661 near Frankfurt* turned out to be a suspected attack on a driver on Saturday evening (03/19/2022).

A man is said to have pushed a woman in a Renault off the road with his car and later attacked her with a knife and seriously injured her, the police said.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. near the Preungesheim triangle.

According to the first findings, it was a relationship act, the Frankfurt police said.

A police spokesman was initially unable to provide more information about the background and details of the crime.

When asked, however, he confirmed that the suspect had been arrested.

So far it is known that the alleged attacker is said to be the ex-partner of the injured person.

During the argument on the freeway, he is said to have pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman.
