NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst has been in Israel for about a week.
Only four days were planned.
Then Corona caught him.
For the Israeli authorities, he is now considered recovered.
But it is unclear when Wüst will return to Germany.
Jerusalem/Düsseldorf - North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) remains in Israel for the time being after a corona infection.
The Israeli authorities had informed Wüst that he was considered recovered according to the specifications of the local health authorities, a spokeswoman for the state chancellery said on Sunday when asked.
However, Wüst decided to follow the stricter rules in force in North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany.
He's still fine.
The State Chancellery did not say when the North Rhine-Westphalia Prime Minister would return to Germany.

In Germany, an isolation period of ten days applies in the event of a corona infection.
From the seventh day, however, infected people can test themselves free if they have been symptom-free for 48 hours.
Wüst tested positive for the corona virus last Monday during a business trip to Israel.
Sunday had passed seven days.
After the end of the regular ten-day isolation, the head of government could return to Germany around the middle of the week at the latest.

On the same day, two more PCR tests gave positive results.
Since the positive PCR tests, Wüst has conducted his official business from his hotel room in Jerusalem.
Wüst was connected via video to the Prime Minister's Conference (MPK) with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) last Thursday.
At the start of the election campaign of the Junge Union (JU) NRW, he also had himself tuned in on Saturday evening.
Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann and Justice Minister Peter Biesenbach (both CDU) had also been infected with Corona in the past few days.
