With the participation of 65 companies coming from several governorates, the activities of the “Welcome Ramadan” shopping festival in its second session, organized by the Homs Chamber of Commerce in the exhibition city in Al-Waer neighborhood, began and will last for 10 days.
The festival presents foodstuffs and all family needs during the holy month, in addition to many other products and materials, with discounts of up to 30%, with the aim of reducing the living burdens of citizens amid the current economic conditions.
The Governor of Homs, Engineer Bassam Parsik, confirmed in a statement to reporters that these festivals are considered a window of positive intervention in the markets to contribute to reducing prices in different proportions, as the festival provides various materials from the product to the consumer directly, indicating that it is a starting point for upcoming festivals and exhibitions before Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr that will be held in the rest of Homs neighborhoods and a number of From the cities in the countryside of the province.
For his part, the head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, Iyad Draq Al-Sibai, indicated the appropriate timing of the festival “before the month of Ramadan” in order to achieve the benefit of consumers and secure their various needs, pointing out that the festival will witness distinctive and new additions that contribute to achieving the hoped-for goal of positive intervention and easing the economic burdens on citizens.
In turn, the organizer of the exhibition, Firas Al-Mawsili, stated that the participating governorates in the festival are Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and that all the materials in the festival are offered at reduced prices than the market, while the President of the City Council Abdullah Al-Bawab noted the importance of the exhibition in preparation for the month of Ramadan, alleviating the material burdens on citizens and providing good quality products.
A representative from Al-Jassem Sweets Starch Manufacturing Company, coming from the industrial city of Adra in the countryside of Damascus, stated that their participation in the festival aims to introduce their products directly and expand in the local market. .
A number of visitors to the exhibition also saw that the prices at the festival are acceptable compared to the markets, noting the wide variety of materials and needs within its pavilions.
