Many patients whose treatments were postponed during the corona pandemic are now ending up as emergencies at Agatharied Hospital.
The problem is likely to get worse.

Because of the upcoming easing of the measures, the clinic is also looking ahead with “great concern”: The number of infections is likely to increase in the district, which will increase the burden on the hospital.
It is important to classify these statements: The incidence in the Miesbach district has dropped in recent weeks.
In the district and the city of Rosenheim, which together have more than three times as many inhabitants as the district of Miesbach and form a rescue association with it, it has risen to over 2500.
Since patients can easily be transferred within the association, the incidences in Rosenheim also burden the clinic in Agatharied.
In addition, the question remains as to how long the district of Miesbach will resist the nationwide trend.
In the past six days, the number of cases here has also increased by almost half.

At the same time, pandemic stress and vaccination requirements for medical facilities are pushing more and more employees into other professions.
As a result, the shortage of staff has worsened significantly.
At times, the hospital had to close half of the wards.
Higher incidences would further aggravate the situation.
Despite everything, emergency doctor Witt guarantees: The care of life-threatening emergencies is guaranteed at all times in Agatharied.
The same applies to the safety of every patient in the hospital.
The problem, which becomes clear from the statements, are increasingly those patients who do not even make it to the clinic.
