Corona incidence in Rhineland-Palatinate slightly declining

After peaking last Friday, the seven-day incidence of corona infections in Rhineland-Palatinate has fallen slightly for the third day in a row.
On Monday, the state investigation office determined a value of 1561.0 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week.
On Sunday it was 1579.1 and on Friday it was 1633.6.
Mainz – The health authorities registered 10,962 new cases in one day (as of 2:10 p.m.), as the authority further announced.
The number of people currently infected with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 184,880.
In addition, nine more deaths from Covid 19 patients were counted, bringing the total number to 5160.
The hospitalization incidence decreased from 6.65 to 5.59.
This indicator, which is important for the burden in the health system, indicates the number of hospital admissions of Covid patients within one week per 100,000 inhabitants.
With a view to numerous staff shortages, the Rhineland-Palatinate hospital company spoke on Monday of the “most difficult phase of the pandemic”.

The highest seven-day incidence was on Monday in the Vulkaneifel district with 2843.4.
The districts of Bad Kreuznach (2279.7), Birkenfeld (2226.9) and Germersheim (2205.3) followed.
The lowest incidence was 913.7 in the city of Koblenz.
