Homs-Sana
Wide demand for products for small and micro enterprises witnessed the seventh annual exhibition organized by the Businesswomen's Committee in the Homs Chamber of Commerce hall, with the participation of about 40 women.
The exhibition, which comes on the occasion of Mother's Day and in support of Syrian women, includes products from various professions, handicrafts, woolen crafts, sewing and detail work, various antiques, accessories and decorative tools, in addition to various types of food.
Afaf Al-Hassan, head of the Businesswomen's Committee in Homs, noted the intensity, diversity and excellence of the products that the annual exhibition witnessed this year, especially in the range of handicraft products that include handicrafts that reflect art, taste and a special touch for each participating woman.
In a statement to SANA, Suhair Raslan, the responsible for the market for rural women’s products in the Directorate of Agriculture in Homs, explained that their participation today is to support rural women and market their various products, including honey, sour grapes, vinegar, jams, olives of all kinds, and others, pointing to the quality, cleanliness and acceptable prices that distinguished the exhibits.
Meanwhile, member of the Prisoners Welfare Society, Engineer Rima Sharfly, indicated that some of the products offered are the work of prisoners who, through recycling, provided materials from beads and silane, in an attempt to support them, secure their products, and market them in exhibitions, to reach the stage of securing a material income for them.
The two participants in the exhibition, Sawsan Al-Najjar and Ghosoun Ibrahim Binta, said that their participation was through works of their own making, such as satin ribbons, hooks, embroidery, trays, and crochet from table covers, crafts and silk hooks.
Participating in the handicrafts section, Suzan Al-Nakdali pointed out that she is repeating her participation in the exhibition due to the large demand that he witnesses, especially on antiques made of copper wire, crystal and onyx with beads, while Noura Al-Rifai found a real opportunity in the exhibition to promote the products of her wool workshop.
For their part, a number of visitors to the exhibition drew attention to the diversity that they saw and the wide variety of different pieces and materials that were distinguished at low prices compared to the markets.
It is noteworthy that the seventh annual exhibition started two days ago and will continue until tomorrow.
