In socks in a suitcase: A 30-year-old suspect who tried to smuggle rare reptiles into Israel
Police arrested a Petah Tikva resident at Ben Gurion Airport after a search of his suitcase turned up turtles, snakes and lizards.
The reptiles were confiscated and transferred to the Nature and Parks Authority.
The suspect was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture for legal treatment

Last night (Sunday), the police arrested a 30-year-old resident of Petah Tikva at Ben Gurion Airport on suspicion of trying to smuggle rare reptiles into Israel illegally, inside his suitcase.
The suspect was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture for legal treatment.

The man was delayed in his search when he landed in the country, and socks were found in his suitcase in which he tried to hide turtles, snakes and lizards, among other things.
