In a video tutorial posted on her Instagram account, Kanye West's ex-girlfriend reveals her express beauty routine and the technique to reproduce her ultra-black "smoky-eye".

Julia Fox's ultra-black and XXL smoky-eye caught all eyes during Fashion Week this winter.

At first glance, this graphic eye makeup seems risky and reserved only for the most experienced makeup artists.

However, the actress proved the opposite in a video tutorial posted on her Instagram account.

Facing the camera, she does her own signature eyeliner in less than 17 minutes, just before heading to the Independent Spirit Awards ceremony.

An express skincare routine

At the beginning of the video (which is “not a partnership”, she specifies), Julia Fox prepares her skin with treatments.

She begins by applying a serum to give it radiance, then immediately continues with her foundation, which she spreads with her fingers.

She does the same with her concealer, before sculpting her face with a stick bronzer “to achieve a slight contouring”.

A bit of blush and illuminating powder complete the beauty of the complexion.

“It really is like painting.

It's art.

Fuck anyone who says otherwise,” she warns.

Follower of the “skinny brows” trend, the model says she prefers thin eyebrows.

“I find them sexier,” she says, sketching them lightly in pencil and brushing them with the brush tip.

She finally traces the outline of her lips then covers them with balm, before moving on to the long-awaited step.

A “fierce” eye make-up

After five minutes, Julia Fox finally tackles the heart of the matter, which she calls the "Fox eyes" (an eponymous pun that can also be translated as "fox eyes".) With a flat brush, she takes a black eye shadow from a palette.

Then, she sweeps the make-up haphazardly by connecting the brow bone to the center of the eyelid.

"It's important to follow the shape of your eyebrow," she insists, while creating a sharp angle in the outer corner of the eye.

She then slides into the inner corner to darken the look.

Once the shape is traced, she reworks its outlines in eye pencil “to make it a bit sharper.”

Then, she repeats the process on the other side and finishes by adding some mascara to her lashes.

Throughout the tutorial, Julia Fox does not fail to retouch her work with make-up remover wipes to erase traces of pigments and smudges.

“Expect to do this often when creating graphic makeup like this.

It's all about symmetry," says the budding make-up artist, before admitting, "That's why you always have to do the eyes before the complexion, but I didn't want to be so close to the camera. without makeup."

Adored by some, misunderstood by others, this winged eyeliner does not leave anyone indifferent and it is certainly the effect that Julia Fox is looking for.

"I love that.

I find it fierce.

I don't care what the enemies say, ”she finally says before cutting the video.
