A new high school will be built in Nuremberg by 2027.
This will give the south of the city a new educational location.
Nuremberg - Good news from Nuremberg City Hall!
As the city announced on Friday (March 18) on its website, the long-awaited approval for a new high school at Breslauer Strasse 300 has finally been granted.
Mayor Marcus König was relieved when he received the final approval from the Ministry of Education.
An excellent learning environment will be created for the future schoolchildren and the educational opportunities in Nuremberg will become even more diverse, said König.
Nuremberg: New high school is coming!
Extensive educational site
The new high school is being built on the former Prinovis site at Breslauer Strasse 300 in the south of Nuremberg.
The planning for this is already in full swing.
With the approval for the construction of the grammar school, the city of Nuremberg's plan to create a new educational location is finally complete.
In addition to the grammar school, there will also be a technical college and a junior high school on the site.
According to the city, a pedagogical campus with holistic approaches should be created.
The school is scheduled to be operational from the 2027/2028 school year.

Nuremberg: Relief for Nuremberg
School officer Cornelia Trinkl is also very happy.
"The new high school will lead to a relief in the Nuremberg school landscape," says Trinkl.
In addition, the new campus would meet the demand and use synergies with other types of schools or the proximity to the university, Trinkl continued.
So far there are eight state, five municipal and five private or church grammar schools in Nuremberg.
The new program for the summer semester of the Nuremberg Children's University is online.
Children from the age of eight can register.
