A passenger plane with 132 people on board crashed in south China's Guangxi region today.
"A Boeing 737 belonging to China Eastern Airlines crashed in Tengxian County in Wuzhou City, causing a fire in the mountains," Xinhua news agency quoted the regional emergency management department as saying.
According to the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration, the plane was carrying 132 people, including nine crew members.
Rescuers were called, who approached the scene, and the number of casualties was not immediately known.
