Pushilin: We are continuing to evacuate civilians in Mariupol

The President of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin confirmed that the evacuation of civilians continues in the liberated areas of the city of Mariupol, according to the agreement announced yesterday.

Russia Today quoted Pushilin as saying, "The evacuations in Mariupol are continuing, while there are some difficulties in the evacuations in other regions," noting that the recent bombing of the republic may be the last thing that the Ukrainian forces can do.

And the head of the National Center of the Russian Defense Administration Mikhail Mezintsev announced yesterday that the Russian forces will open an exit corridor from the city of Mariupol for all elements of the Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries who lay down their arms, while the leaders of the units of the Donetsk People's Republic agreed with this announcement, who expressed their readiness for such a scenario and that they would guarantee the exit. Security for militants but only without weapons and ammunition to any area.

For its part, the defense headquarters of the Donetsk People's Republic announced in a statement that the republic's air defense systems intercepted two Tochka missiles or over Makaeva, noting that "fragments of Ukrainian missiles were scattered over the village of Proletarsky and behind the Zeleny district of Makaeva."

The Donetsk People's Republic announced earlier today that two people were killed and 28 others wounded, including journalists, as a result of the Ukrainian forces' bombing of residential areas in the republic.
