This week the long-awaited second season of "Bridgerton" will arrive on Netflix.

If you are not aware of what Shonda Rhimes has prepared for this continuation of the story, then you are in the right place.

What will be the plot of "Bridgerton" season 2?

In a sneak peek released in early March, we see the young ladies of Regency London vying for the love of the kingdom's most eligible bachelor: Anthony.

The trailer also introduces new characters, sisters Kate and Edwina Sharma.

For the latter, it is evident that she has already set her sights on Anthony Bridgerton.

This character laments that, out of love for his family, he has to choose a wife not with his heart, but with her mind.

The new characters of "Bridgerton"

Kate Sharma, played by Simone Ashley: She

is Edwina's older sister.

She is intelligent, determined, and for the same reason, she is very difficult to conquer.

Edwina Sharma, played by Charithra Chandran:

According to Netflix, her character is "kind-hearted and endlessly lovable. But while she may be young and naive, she also knows what she wants: a true love match."

Mary Sharma, played by Shelley Conn: She

is the Earl's daughter whose marriage led the family to be part of a scandal, something that the city has not forgotten.
