The entire southern part of the ten-story building complex north of the city center was destroyed in the attack.
The force of the explosion was felt throughout the city, it also burst all the windows in the outbuilding and bent metal frames.
According to Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko, several residential buildings in the densely populated area were also damaged and set on fire.
