We are rapidly approaching the Oscars, the most important night in Hollywood.

This Tuesday the list of nominations for the 94th edition of the awards was announced.

The film "The Power of the Dog" leads the nominations: it has 12. There is also a Hispanic presence among the distinguished ones.

Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz were nominated in the best actor and actress categories for their roles in "Being the Ricardos" and "Madres Paralelas."

Guillermo del Toro's "Nightmare Alley" is nominated for the most important category of the night, best film.

And "Charm" did just that, enchanting the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and earning three nominations: best animated film, best soundtrack and best original song.

If you are one of the movie lovers and you love watching the awards ceremony, you may be wondering... when will they take place?

Well, we still have to wait a little over a month to find out the winners.

When are the Oscars?

As happened last year, the Oscars will hold the ceremony a little later than usual.

Before the pandemic, the prizes were awarded in February.

In 2021, the date was pushed back to April, marking the first time in history that the Academy had changed the date of the awards.

For 2022, the situation was replicated and the Academy had to delay the ceremony, which would initially take place at the end of February.

The delivery will finally take place on Sunday, March 27 at the traditional Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

The ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm Miami time and will be broadcast in the United States on ABC.

According to the Academy, said broadcast will be broadcast to more than 200 countries and/or territories worldwide.

Will there be a presenter?

As reported by ABC in January, the network where the awards are broadcast, there will be a presenter.

However, the name is not yet known.

The last time the Oscars had a master of ceremonies was in 2018. The one in charge of making the event flow was the presenter Jimmy Kimmel.

Kevin Hart said he would not host the 2019 ceremony after a controversy over a series of homophobic tweets the actor had posted years earlier.
