The CSU is aggressively in favor of the planned development at Kreuzlinger Feld.

With an information campaign, the people of Germeringer should be persuaded to vote no in the referendum on April 24th and to reject it.

Germering – As part of an online conference, local and parliamentary group leader Oliver Simon said yesterday that the CSU stands by what it had already called for in the election program: Kreuzlinger Feld should be built on as decided by the city council after years of consultation and discussion became.

The CSU will therefore start a campaign with immediate effect in which citizens will be informed and enlightened in discussions, with flyers, posters, advertisements and on the Internet, what April 24th is all about.

Affordable housing

According to Simon, the Kreuzlinger Feld project not only creates affordable living space.

Among other things, it also enables the project of multi-generational living, which has been pursued for years, to be implemented.

But even more important is that the city has the opportunity to build an urgently needed four-class elementary school here - there is no other plot of land in Germering.

Should the Kreuzlinger Feld project fail, the only option left would be to expand the schools at the existing locations.

That would not only be more expensive, but also more difficult to implement.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

Oliver Simon and with him the city councilors Sandra Andre, Marcus Breu and Benedikt Nesselhauf hope for the highest possible participation in the referendum.

With an information campaign, they want to persuade what they believe has been a silent majority to vote.

Marcus Breu reported, among other things, that he was repeatedly approached by people from Germeringer who wanted the plan to be implemented.

Among other things, because then a hitherto missing shopping facility for the residents in the north-west of the city will be realized.

Extensive participation

Oliver Simon pointed out that the city council had always responded to the demands of the citizens' initiative livable Germering, which had won the referendum.

There was not only extensive public participation.

The extent of the development has also been reduced and the demand for affordable housing has been implemented.

According to the principles of social land use (Sobon), around 190 apartments are being built, which will be subject to social commitments for 30 years.

The demands for more climate protection were also taken into account, including green inner courtyards and a promenade, which is important for the ventilation of the city.

It is clear that the ground is sealed anyway: "That's how it is when I build." But the citizens' initiative would also do that, which is not opposed to general development.

The CSU is for a "Germering with prospects", for a "Germering worth living" and a "Germering for everyone", according to the titles of the three flyers.
