(CNN Spanish) -

Sisters Hanna and Ashley, better known as Ha*Ash, released their first single of 2022 and the cover letter for their next album.

It is "What a man should know", a song with shades of satire in which they say they explain to men that women are not as complicated as they often believe.

"The song came out in a fun way," Ashley told CNN Pop Zone in an interview via Zoom.

"We were with some friends and Hanna said, 'I just don't understand how you don't understand how simple women are.' And he said, 'No, we're very practical, you just have to tell us what to do.' And that's where it came from. It's a lightened way too. We're not here to teach anyone what to do either, no, everyone will adapt it as they want, "added Ashley.

For Hanna, it's a fun way to "give our list of requirements."

Although it is in a humorous tone, one of the verses of Ha*Ash's song and part of the list of requirements points out that the woman's feelings should not be minimized.

"I think a lot of times when you don't say what you feel you can't expect everyone to understand what you're going through," says Hanna.

"

And sometimes when you explain things and [they tell you] like 'oh, you're exaggerating!

',

that's the worst thing you can say to a woman.

I think it's important that when you're talking about her emotions, emotions matter.

It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, it's something you're feeling," Hanna added.

The first single from Ha*Ash's new album

This is the first preview of what will be the group's sixth studio album.

"We're already in a hurry to show off our new stories, our new music, and we're ready to share our music, go on tour, play live, see our fans. We've been cooped up too long already," Ashley said.

The production comes four years after "February 30", an album with which Ha*Ash embarked on a massive tour of 150 concerts, with several

sold-outs

in the United States and Europe.

Why wait so long between one album and another?

"Obviously music doesn't go on hiatus, and we could have put out a record three years ago, but we really wanted to enjoy the process. We set up a studio at Hana's house, we recorded everything there, we wrote a lot, we took the time we wanted to take it to make sure to really come out with the necessary record for us," explains Ashley.

"

Right before the pandemic we had the biggest tour we've ever had in our entire career, where we toured for two years," Hanna said. "A

We take great advantage of having the opportunity to share our music live and to be able to feel our fans close.

So, just after the tour, the pandemic happened to us and there we took the opportunity to make an album with the time we needed, "he added.

Metallica's invitation in 2021

And as Ashley explained, even though they didn't have a record in four years, the music didn't stop.

In 2021, the sisters received an amazing invitation from the metal band Metallica to be part of the

Blacklist

album , the album with which dozens of artists paid tribute to the group.

The sisters had the important task of interpreting one of the most iconic songs of the band: "The Unforgiven".

"

When we got the invitation from Metallica we couldn't believe it," Hanna said.

"For us it was an honor to be able to represent Mexico, to be able to pay tribute to an iconic band. They told us 'choose the song, produce it as you want, do what you want, it's your song'. That a group of that magnitude trust us It was super cute," Hanna said.

How did Metallica react to this

Ha*Ash

cover ?

"Getting a message from them after hearing the song, that they loved it, that it was one of their favorites, Hanna and I were like wow!" Ashley explained.
