The Tax and Economics Prosecutor's Office announced today (Tuesday) to the Tel Aviv District Court that it has reached a plea agreement with Eurocom Holdings, which is in liquidation.
According to the settlement, the company thanks the facts of the indictment filed against it in the case known as "Bezeq Securities", as well as the charges of the affair known as "4000" for which she was summoned to a hearing, and will pay a fine of NIS 400,000 within a year.
According to the indictment filed against the company in the Bezeq-Securities case, between 2013 and 2017, Shaul Alovich was the controlling shareholder and chairman of the board of Eurocom Holdings 1979 Ltd., which held a group of companies whose main business is in the field of communications. Elowitz held control of the Bezeq Group, including Walla Communications, which operated the Walla news site. Elowitz served as chairman of Bezeq's board of directors and chairman of Walla's board of directors.

The indictment attributes to Eurocom Holdings offenses of receiving anything fraudulently under aggravated circumstances, attempting to obtain fraud under aggravated circumstances, fraud and breach of trust in the corporation, and reporting offenses under the Securities Law with reference to two cases listed in the indictment against Shaul Alovich and others in Bezeq Securities: Fraud in relation to the payment of the consideration for the acquisition of Yes shares by Bezeq, and fraud in relation to the conduct of the independent committees established by Bezeq for the purpose of examining transactions of the company in which controlling shareholder Elowitz had a personal interest.
According to the indictment, the criminal liability of Eurocom Holdings stems from the actions and criminal thinking of Elovich, who was an officer in it.
In addition, the indictment attributes to Eurocom the offenses of bribery and money laundering in the 4000 case, by virtue of the actions and criminal thought of Shaul Alovich, who was an officer in it.
It will be recalled that Elovich is accused of bribing former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through an unusual response to the Walla website's coverage of Netanyahu and his family's demands, in exchange for government actions that benefited Elovich's business and Bezeq.
