The car jumped and was suspended in the air before crashing two cars. Other 'influencers' say that the TikTok star Dominykas Zeglaitis, known as Durte Dom, was not there. The police are offering a reward for whoever identifies the suspect.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a dangerous stunt that resulted in a two-car crash Sunday in the Echo Park neighborhood.

An

influencer

took responsibility for the incident, as reported by NBC News, sister network of Noticias Telemundo, but the authorities are still looking for the suspect.

The feat was recorded in a video, which is already viral, in which the luxurious vehicle is seen going through an intersection at high speed and then flying while some spectators record it.

Immediately afterwards, the car crashes on one of the steepest roads in the city.

According to the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles, some witnesses to the incident said that the passengers of the Tesla got out of the car and got into another car with some spectators who had recorded the maneuver.

The authorities offered a reward of 1,000 dollars to find the suspect, however, they have received complaints against the

influencer

and

tiktok star,

Dominykas Zeglaitis, also known as Durte Dom, according to NBC News.

The officers have received more than 50 calls and in most of them "90%" people mention Zeglatis.

"She is considered a person of interest based on the public posts on his account," police said.

The

influencer

posted videos of the incident on TikTok where he has 2.7 million followers.

Although the images were deleted due to the social network's policies that prevent the publication of images that motivate dangerous acts, the young man wrote: "I just crashed my new Tesla", as a message that accompanied a video in which he is seen behind the wheel before the car went flying.

His connection to the incident was made a little clearer when Zeglatis made another post saying he was under the influence of drugs while driving.

He further wrote "the LAPD didn't like my stunt."

According to Vice News, the Tesla in which the

influencer

was traveling was a 2018 S-BLM model, which was damaged when it collided with the other two cars.

One of the vehicles that was severely affected belonged to a local musician, who had just spent $5,000 repairing his car.

According to the publication, after the Zeglatis viral maneuver

,

Jordan Hook's vehicle had its tires destroyed, as well as its steering and suspension.

The residents of the sector created a campaign on GoFundMe to help him pay the expenses and the young man has drawn attention to these types of videos.

"This is backwards. Here I am with this car, and I don't know what's going to happen," the young man told Vice News.

Authorities have not yet made any arrests and have not released a description of the suspect.

Zeglatis has already been mired in controversy in the past when three women publicly accused him of sexual abuse on the Insider website, according to NBC News.
