She is 140 meters long, has 48 cabins on eight decks and has a helipad: the superyacht "Solaris" is assigned to Roman Abramovich.

The Russian billionaire apparently wants to save part of his assets to Turkey.

However, there was an incident that attracted a great deal of attention on social media: when the "Solaris" docked in a Turkish resort on Tuesday, a loudly chanting group in a small boat stood in its way.

They waved Ukrainian flags with the inscription "No War".

Another super yacht is also assigned to Abramovich: The "Eclipse" docked in southwest Turkey this week - also one of the largest yachts in the world.

The ship is said to have two helipads, nine decks, a swimming pool and a missile defense system.

The two yachts are estimated to be worth a combined $1.2 billion.

The ships are not only in Turkish waters because of the beautiful panorama.

Rather, the reason seems to be the numerous sanctions that the West has imposed on Russian oligarchs since the invasion of Ukraine.

Turkey criticizes the invasion but rejects sanctions against the billionaires.

This makes Turkish waters a safe haven for wealthy Russians' floating assets.

Russian-owned yachts are currently stuck in several countries, including Italy, Spain and Germany.

In order to use them sensibly, the Hamburg CDU state chief Christoph Ploß now presented an idea: You could use the status symbols as accommodation - for refugees from Ukraine.
