The 24-hour lightning marathon in Bavaria starts tomorrow, Thursday, at 6 a.m.

District - Nationwide, speeding is still the main cause of serious traffic accidents.
In order to take joint action against speeders, a so-called speed marathon will start on Thursday, March 24 at 6 a.m., which will be coordinated by the European traffic police network "Roadpol".
As part of the ninth Bavarian Blitzmarathon, which is an integral part of the Bavarian road safety program 2030 "Bayern mobil - Sicherheit ans Ziel", the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North is actively involved with 126 speed checkpoints set up in the joint road safety campaign.
All measuring points set up in Bavaria can now be viewed at www.innenministerium.bayern.de.

The pre-announced checks will take place from March 24, 6 a.m. to March 25, 6 a.m.
According to the police, the lightning marathon is intended to wake up all road users to adhere to the speed limits.
