A former soldier and ex-member of the GUD

Now 27 years old, Loïk Le Priol was trained at the French Navy's foam school in Brest between 2010 and 2011. He was assigned to the Montfort marine commando where he took part in external operations in Mali and Djibouti between 2013 and 2015. He was repatriated to France in July 2015 on the recommendation of military doctors due to severe post-traumatic stress.

He was then struck off for disciplinary reasons, the Navy told AFP.

Loïk Le Priol was also an activist in the GUD (Groupe union defense), a far-right student organization dissolved in 2017. Known for its violent actions, this organization was very active in certain universities during the 1970s before losing gradually influencing.
