A small child died in a car accident in Mainz on Tuesday (March 22nd, 2022).

At around 12:26 p.m., the accident occurred in Parcusstraße between the 63-year-old driver of a Mercedes and a three-year-old girl with a balance bike, the police said.

Both people came from the direction of Aliceplatz.

The driver from Mainz drove in the right lane.

The girl was in the same direction at the traffic light-regulated pedestrian ford crossing Bahnhofstrasse.

The driver wants to turn right into Bahnhofstrasse in the direction of Münsterplatz.

Then there is an accident.

The girl from Wiesbaden suffered serious injuries.
