One of the most frustrating trends we've seen in smartphones in the last couple of years is the removal of wall chargers from the box.
Of course, some companies claim that it's more about limiting waste than saving money, but at the same time it adds a fast-charging feature, which requires a more powerful wall adapter.
Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra and S22+ support fast-charging speeds (up to 45W), meaning that with the right plug (and cable), your phone can go from zero to 100% in just over an hour.

But not all 45W chargers are created equal.
So what's a confused consumer to do?
To help you make a decision before buying one, we put four different products to the test.
Here's what you need to know before you get fast charging on your Galaxy S22 Ultra or S22+ smartphone:
Fastest Charger: Samsung 65W Trio Adapter
Buy it on Amazon for
MX$822 or
$55.73
The adapter was the fastest charger of the bunch, charging the S22 Ultra from 0% to 100% in 63 minutes.
The power block prongs don't fold up, a design choice that limits portability and can be a bit of a pain for those who travel often.
However, the ease of a charger that powers all your devices at a good speed should put an end to any frustration.
The Budget Pick: Anker PowerPort Atom III 45W Slim
Buy it on Amazon for
MX$1,879 or
USD$35.99
This charger from Anker isn't as fast as Samsung's, but it costs a lot less and has a nicer design.
In our test, it charged the Galaxy S22 Ultra from zero to 100% in 90 minutes.
While it's frustrating that it takes 50% longer to get a full charge, the lower cost might make up for the extra time.
For the curious, at 30 minutes the battery was at 34%, and at 45 minutes it put the battery at 51%.

How we test
We tested four different wall adapters by measuring how charged the S22 Ultra was after the first five minutes, when we turned on the phone and unlocked it.
We checked again at 15 minutes, and every 15 minutes after that, until we hit 90 minutes total, or the phone was fully charged.
Other chargers we tested
Samsung 45W USB-C Fast Charge Wall Charger
Buy it on Amazon for
MX$474 or
USD$ 38
The charger is about the same price as the 65W charger, but it lacks two extra ports.
However, it charges almost as quickly as the 65W charger, taking an hour and five minutes to reach 100% from a fully depleted battery in our tests.
Belkin BoostUp Dual USB-C PD Wall Charger 40W
Buy it on Amazon for
MX$339 or
USD$28.49
The Belkin BoostUp Dual USB-C Wall Charger can provide up to 40W of total power between the two USB-C ports, making it the slowest charger of the bunch in our tests.
At the 90-minute mark, the S22 Ultra's battery level was 92%, behind the 98% of the Anker PowerPort Atom III Slim in the same brand.
