In Be'er Sheva, this morning (Wednesday) the fragments are being collected after the deadly attack in the city, which claimed the lives of four Israelis yesterday.

In a terrorist attack in Be'er Sheva, Doris Yahbas, 49, from Moshav Gilat, a mother of three, was killed;

Laura Yitzhak, 43-year-old resident of Be'er Sheva and mother of three daughters;

Rabbi Moshe Kravitzky, 50, a former Chabad emissary in the Nahal Beka neighborhood of Be'er Sheva and a father of four; and Menachem Yehezkel, 67, also a resident of Be'er Sheva

. Great fear in the city, we are afraid to take to the streets.

My wife is shaking.

I did not sleep all night yesterday.

It seems we are not interested in the government, "says Ezra Sawiri, a resident of the city." The residents are desperate, the situation is a catastrophe.

I'm afraid to go out with the grandchildren to the parks, I'm afraid to go [also] to an event in Dimona. "

Sawyer accused the authorities of helplessness.

"The police fell asleep," he said, "it could not be that the police did not come and the citizens fired. We are not treated in the Negev - only when there are elections. Israeli governments for generations have failed, and David Ben-Gurion, who is buried here in the Negev - is overturned."

Similar feelings were also heard in the "One" shopping center, another arena of occurrence.

"I have never seen such a shocking sight. I have not slept all night. The way he stabs her time and time again," says Daniel Dadon, a manager at a nearby store, who recreated the harsh scenes.

"The police took time to arrive, she lay for long minutes until the police arrived. We have no security in Be'er Sheva, we feel abandoned. Some people are afraid to walk around, my fiancée is not ready to leave the house."

Among the residents of the south there are already those who do not trust the police, and have chosen to walk around with weapons.

"I'm scared, walking around with a weapon, not trusting anyone," says Raoul Gerbernik, a resident of Omar and a former doctor at Soroka Hospital in the city, who also walked around the shopping center this morning.

"I took the weapon out of the safe yesterday and I do not intend to go out without it, the city of Be'er Sheva has changed, the friends cannot find the child from the house."

"The state should deal with iron fist"

The mayor, Rubik Danilovich, emphasized this morning in a statement that the state has a responsibility to ensure the personal security of the residents, and asked the public to exercise restraint.

"I just call on our dedicated residents not to take the law into their own hands, we have the security forces - that's their job, they are loyal to restoring personal security to the residents. This is how a democratic state behaves," Danilovich said in a statement.

"We are doing everything possible," he promised, "I spoke yesterday with the prime minister, the Minister of Internal Security.

"Beyond that, I want everyone to maintain restraint, everyone who needs to be treated - the state needs to treat him with an iron fist, with a very hard hand."

The attack took place at a gas station on Derech Hebron Street in Be'er Sheva, and later at a shopping center on Yitzhak Nafha Street in the city.

First, the terrorist ran over to death a cyclist near the gas station.

From there, he continued into the station and vigorously stabbed a woman, whose death was determined on the spot.

The terrorist continued his stabbing campaign and arrived at a store in the "One" shopping center, where he stabbed people who had bought at the place.

After the terrorist's vehicle collided with another vehicle, he was stopped, got out of the vehicle, and stabbed another person to death.

He was then shot by a passerby, and later died of his wounds.

The terrorist is 34-year-old Muhammad Ralb Ahmad Abu Alqian.

He is a former high school teacher and former preacher at the Hamza mosque in the locality, who previously ran a four-year prison sentence after trying to fight alongside ISIS (Islamic State) fighters in Syria and encouraged support for the organization in sermons he delivered at the mosque in the locality.

Abu Alqian was convicted of, among other things, conspiracy, attempted activity in an illegal association and attempted illegal exit to a foreign country.
