To date,

Nantes révoltée

remains without news from the government on any grievances that may be alleged against it.

(…) What is certain is that the dissolution procedure has not yet been initiated

, ”assured AFP Me Aïnoha Pascual.

The Minister of the Interior had announced at the end of January to the National Assembly that he had decided "

to initiate the adversarial process which would allow the dissolution of this de facto group

".

The launch of a dissolution procedure presupposes the sending by the government of a letter of grievance to the association concerned.

The latter then has fifteen days to present its arguments to the government.

"

It doesn't take two months to make a list of grievances when you really have grievances

,” said the lawyer.

Asked by AFP, the Ministry of the Interior did not wish to speak.

", is regularly singled out by the authorities for violence during demonstrations .

The dissolution procedure had been mentioned by the Minister of the Interior following incidents that occurred in Nantes on the sidelines of an "

antifa

" demonstration.

"

We assume that when Gérald Darmanin made this announcement, he was responding to a request from elected LR and LREM, but in reality he moved too quickly because he was not aware of what is “Nantes revolted”

He thought he could use the procedure for dissolving groups and associations without knowing that he was actually referring to a media

," continued Me Pascual.

In addition to a website and a Facebook page which has more than 220,000 subscribers, “

Nantes révoltée

” has been publishing the paper magazine “

” since January.

A petition launched against its dissolution had collected more than 40,000 signatures.
