The 22-year-old man was involved in two criminal cases and was sentenced to probation orders, but he failed to appear in court on time and was wanted by the court. He was arrested by the police earlier.
After being transferred to the Kowloon City Court the day before yesterday (21st), he fled while waiting for a hearing, and disappeared after boarding a taxi.
The police arrested the man again on the same night and charged him with escaping from lawful custody. The case will appear in the Kowloon City Court today (23rd). The prosecution's application was postponed to April 6th, together with the two earlier cases involved. The case was re-examined together for further investigation, including a review of the CCTV footage involved.
The defendant's application for bail was refused and he was remanded in custody.
