A plane whose singer Miley Cyrus was one of its passengers made an emergency landing last night (Tuesday) after being struck by lightning.

The 29-year-old star flew with family, friends and staff for a special performance in the Paraguayan capital, Asuncion, as part of her South American tour, but the stormy weather prevented them from reaching their destination.
Fortunately, the emergency landing was successful and none of the passengers were injured.
In fact, apart from a few moments of anxiety that Cyrus shared with her Instagram followers - moments where you can see the interior of the plane completely lit by lightning and hear the passengers screaming in panic - the incident ended in peace.

"To all my fans who are worried after hearing about the flight to Asuncion," Miley wrote in the Instagram post, which has already garnered more than half a million likes.
"Our plane ran into a huge and unexpected storm and was hit by lightning. We are all healthy and intact after making an emergency landing, but unfortunately we were unable to reach Paraguay. I love you."
Needless to say, the show, which was supposed to take place today (Wednesday) at Asuncionico, as part of the Asuncionico festival, will no longer take place, and the first day of the festival was completely canceled due to weather conditions.
