The Nuremberg Easter market can finally take place again.

After two cancellations due to corona, organizers and retailers are looking forward to many visitors.

Nuremberg – The Nuremberg Easter market is taking place again.

After it had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to corona, this year it starts on Friday, April 1st.

Until Easter Monday (April 18), visitors can then stroll through the market every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – except on Good Friday.

This is what the city of Nuremberg writes in a press release.

The Easter market, also called "Häferlesmarkt", is the oldest of Nuremberg's markets.

Above all, household items change hands here: wickerwork, crockery, cutlery and other everyday necessities.

You will also find sustainable goods made of wood and clothing from our own production.

Nuremberg: Your physical well-being is taken care of

A wide range of culinary delights awaits visitors at the Schönen Brunnen.

The Nuremberg Rostbratwurst is a must, and meat and fish dishes, organic raclette and falafel are also on offer.

In addition, there are pastries such as pretzels and Baumstriezel.

If you like it sweet, you can get roasted almonds or chocolate-covered fruit.

The Coffee-Bike coffee specialties are new.

Nuremberg: relief for the organizers

"We have done everything to ensure that the Easter market can take place this year," explains Dr.

Michael Fraas.

He is economics and science officer for the city of Nuremberg.

"Now we cordially invite you to take a stroll through the market!".

Christine Beeck, head of the municipal market office, is also relieved: "We are very pleased that we can finally hold an Easter market again this year, the first special market this year.

We wish our market traders every success and good business, and our guests a pleasant stay at our Easter market.”

Nuremberg: Market takes place under Corona conditions

Because of the corona pandemic, the Easter market is taking place under modified conditions.

When planning, the market office was able to draw on experience with the autumn market in 2020 and 2021.

The aisles between the rows of stalls were widened to six meters.

In addition, more security personnel are on duty.

Disinfectants are available on the market area and fixed hygiene plans apply to all sales stands.
