A fatal accident occurred in Munich on Thursday.

A fatal accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the south of Munich.

A scooter driver collided with a car and was seriously injured.

Munich – A collision with an Audi on Thursday afternoon in Munich ended fatally for a Vespa driver.

Rescue workers were still trying to revive the man.

In the end, however, he died at the scene of the accident.

Accident in Obersendling: Audi collides with Vespa

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon (March 24), a man from Munich drove his Vespa on Wolfratshauser Straße in Obersendling.

When he was heading out of town on his scooter, he collided with an Audi near Saargemünder Straße, writes the Munich fire brigade in its press release.

The driver of the scooter was seriously injured in the collision.

An emergency call was made immediately.

A short time later, forces from the fire brigade, the police and the rescue service reached the scene of the accident.

The paramedics immediately began treating the injured Munich resident.

They tried to revive him, but had to admit defeat after about half an hour.

The man died at the scene of the accident.

The Audi driver was not injured in the accident.

However, he was in shock.

A crisis intervention team took care of him.

Accident in Obersendling: the road was closed for four hours

Wolfratshauser Strasse had to be closed for almost four hours.

"It was only released again around 7 p.m.," said a spokesman for the Munich police.

Police are still investigating why the accident happened.

An expert with a drone was also on site to reconstruct the course of the accident.

Initially, the officials could not make any statements about the age of the deceased or the extent of the damage caused by the accident.
