The two islands, which are in the Caribbean, are being offered for sale for a paltry sum of $ 125 million • Part of the amount will be used to pay for settlement agreements that are still pending against Epstein

The private islands in the Caribbean bought by Jeffrey Epstein, in which dozens of minors allegedly trafficked were allegedly sexually exploited, were put up for sale.

A lawyer in charge of Epstein's estate management told the BBC that the two islands - Little St.

James and Great St.

James - are indeed for sale and that part of the requested amount - $ 125 million - will be used for conciliation arrangements in lawsuits that are still pending against him.

As you may recall, the businessman was convicted more than a decade ago of soliciting minors for prostitution, but about three years ago a world-wide affair was exposed.

The investigation revealed the dimensions of the network he allegedly set up in later years, with the alleged help of his ex-partner Gillienne Maxwell, who had faith in locating and "recruiting" the minors.

Maxwell was recently convicted in most counts against her.

Epstein committed suicide in 2019 before being prosecuted for the latest affair.

The Little St.

James bought Epstein about a quarter of a century ago for about eight million dollars, and there he established his estate, in which he also allegedly carried out exploitation activities on minors who were sometimes 12 years old.

In 2016 he bought the second larger island, for about $ 23 million.

Before he was arrested he had plans to build a huge compound there that includes the construction of an amphitheater, as well as to build his house and offices under the sea.

According to complainants' allegations against him, Epstein brought celebrities from around the world to his estate while he held the minors there against their will.

In a lawsuit filed against him against the authorities in the islands, it was alleged that one of the girls tried to escape by swimming from the island but was caught and her passport confiscated.

It seems that the continuation of the lawsuit against his estate is what led to the putting the properties up for sale.
