With the participation of more than 60 Syrian companies, the activities of the “Made in Syria” specialized exhibition for men’s and leather clothing, organized by the Syrian Exporters Association of Garments and Textiles, in cooperation with the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and with the support of the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria, were launched with the participation of more than 60 Syrian companies. From this March.

The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, confirmed in a statement to the media that despite the difficulties facing industrialists due to the delay in energy carriers, there is the ability to compete with Syrian products that match other countries and cover the needs of the local market for years, pointing out that there are many businessmen who want to import Syrian products Which is characterized by high quality and keeping pace with fashion in the world of clothing industry.

The head of the Syrian Garment and Textile Exporters Association, Ragheed Al-Halabi, said in a statement to SANA that all the participating companies are high-end brands specialized in men’s clothing, which added great diversity and gave the exhibition additional importance, pointing to the organizers’ keenness to secure the largest number of visitors from all governorates, in addition to hosting businessmen from neighboring countries.

Head of the Central Exhibitions Committee in the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Talal Qalaji, pointed out the role played by the exhibition in marketing and promoting Syrian clothing and leather in the internal and external markets through visiting Syrian and Arab businessmen.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Exhibitions Committee Muhyiddin Arab Al-Halabi pointed out the importance of the exhibition for promoting Syrian goods and concluding export contracts, pointing out that the Syrian product is known globally because of its competition in price and quality.

Azzam Habbal from a men's clothing company indicated the keenness to participate permanently in all the exhibition sessions to help in marketing the goods, while Mahmoud Qarqala from the Leather Industries Company expressed his hope that the festival would contribute to publicizing his goods externally.

The Minister of Industry Ziad Sobhi Sabbagh and a number of directors of public institutions and businessmen participated in the opening of the exhibition.
