Parshas Hashavua, Rabbi Shai Tahan (Shuva Yisrael)
The death of the late Minister of Torah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky is closely linked to this week's Parshas - Parshas Shemini, which tells of the special leadership of Moshe Rabbeinu and his modesty towards the people of Israel and his brother Aharon the High Priest.
Rabbi Shai Tahan, head of Shaare Ezra Kollel and head of the Arazi Lebanon Teaching House, brings in his weekly corner the drama that takes place in this week's Torah portion, while Moshe Rabbeinu commands his brother Aharon to be the first to sacrifice and the whole of Israel expects the sacrifice to atone for the calf.
But in the moment of truth, it does not rise in Aaron's hand and the Goddess does not descend on the sacrifice.
And in order not to despise Aaron - Moses performs his action in front of the Blessed One and the Divine Presence descends in its glory.
When Moshe Rabbeinu comes out of the Tabernacle, he tells the people of Israel in the modesty that the Goddess served following Aaron's work.
Rabbi Tahan explains that the same was the case with the late Minister of Torah, despite his immense greatness in the Torah, he answered and answered every question, in writing or orally. The Minister of Torah hid his greatness and behaved modestly like Moshe Rabbeinu.
