Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that Western intelligence services are widely recruiting terrorists from Syria to transport them to Ukraine.
And she said: Zakharova, in a press briefing today in Moscow, NATO members show a special mockery at the fact that they have placed a large-scale mobilization of terrorists in Syria in the territories that are not controlled by the legitimate government of this country and under the pretext of combating international terrorism there are American forces and units of member states of the alliance NATO since 2014.
Zakharova added that Western intelligence services and the Ukrainian Security Service are actively recruiting militants from the Middle East for use against Russia, and said, “Relying on Ukrainian embassies operating in the Middle East there, and in violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention, work is actively being done to recruit local fighters for later use against our country. This operation was carried out in close coordination between Western intelligence services and the special security unit of the Ukrainian army.”
In another context, Zakharova expressed her country's astonishment at the British Defense Minister Ben Wallace's talk about the possibility of Ukraine acquiring nuclear weapons, which confirms the existence of such plans.
"It didn't surprise me that the British defense minister could not distinguish between deceivers and Ukrainian officials, but something else that struck me was the ease with which British officials talk about Ukraine having nuclear weapons in principle," she said.
Zakharova pointed out that the possibility of Britain supporting the development of these events does not cause them any embarrassment, questions or even any kind of fear, explaining that this confirms only one thing, which is that not only Ukraine had such plans, but also NATO and they were ready for such scenario.
