The Minister of Internal Security fired his spokesman, after the embarrassing incident at the funeral of the late Doris Yahavs, in which he called for the trial of the terrorist who was killed in Be'er Sheva to be exhausted.

The Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, fired his spokesman today (Friday), following the embarrassing incident at the funeral and the tweet on Twitter that caused a storm.

In the various media, Bar-Lev claimed that "they plugged in a microphone and I started immediately," but these claims are not true.

Yesterday we published in "Israel Today" that the Minister of Internal Security insisted on going and giving a speech at the funeral, when the person who was originally supposed to arrive at the scene was Yoaz Handel.

Bar-Lev turned to the Minister of Communications and asked him to go to the funeral of the late Doris Yahavs in his place.

It will be recalled that at the funeral of the late Doris Yahavs, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Be'er Sheva, Minister Bar-Lev called for the execution of the terrorist who was killed.

The next day, he joked on Twitter about his mistake at the funeral, when he tweeted that the police had thwarted arms smuggling in Lebanon, writing that "we will not keep quiet until we put the smugglers in jail and prosecute them," and finally added a smiley wink - hinting at the embarrassing statement last night.

Note that he later deleted the tweet.
