Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Husam El-Din Ala, affirmed that the Israeli occupation continues its crimes and grave violations of the rights of the Palestinian people and the people of the occupied Syrian Golan, intensifying settlements, seizing lands and stealing natural resources.

Ambassador Ala said during a session of the Human Rights Council: that Syria affirms its rejection of the illegal measures and settlement plans implemented by the occupation to change the legal and demographic character in the occupied Syrian Golan.

Ambassador Ala added that Syria renews its call not to recognize any situation resulting from the illegal Israeli occupation measures and to refrain from any practices that would perpetuate the occupation.

Ambassador Ala continued: Syria condemns the occupation's practices and violations in the occupied Golan and calls on the Human Rights Council to document these practices and hold the occupation accountable for them.

Ambassador Alla pointed out that the Israeli entity's continuation of its aggressions on Syrian territory would not have taken place without the absolute American and Western support for it and protecting it from accountability for its violations of international law.

Ambassador Ala said that Syria affirms its firm right to recover the entire occupied Golan and its categorical rejection of the unilateral measures taken by the Israeli entity to perpetuate its occupation.
