"Hartz and cordial": The next couple from the Benz barracks decides to take a drastic step.

You want to leave Mannheim - after more than two decades.

Most of the residents of the Benz barracks love their neighborhood - because the Mannheimers in the former workers' settlement are by no means lacking in humor and solidarity.

The Barackler have been sharing their everyday life with the viewers of the social documentary "Hartz und Herzen"* for five years now.

Cordiality and community are very important here, as MANNHEIM24* reports.

This makes it all the more difficult for the residents when a neighbor decides to turn their backs on the barracks.

Gudrun and Michael had already decided to leave the Benz barracks behind* and move to downtown Mannheim.

19-year-old Pascal also took a big step for love*.

Since Carmen and Dieter live on Hartz IV and have big financial worries, they also want to leave Mannheim:

"Hartz and cordial": Fan favorites leave the Benz barracks - "It was planned that we..."

Dieter and Carmen live in a terraced house with five of their six children.

The twelfth anniversary of the best day in the couple's life is in the 60th episode of "Hartz und cordial".

In 2009 Carmen and Dieter got married.

But his wife Carmen hasn't been able to unwrap any gifts for their wedding anniversary in all these years - for a sad reason: the two don't have the money for such special expenses.

Although the couple has been living in the barracks for more than two decades, Dieter and Carmen would like a change of scenery.

In episode 60 of the current season on RTLZWEI, Dieter announces the family's plans for the future: "It was planned that after the driver's license, after confirmation - a year or two later - we would go to NRW and look for an apartment there and look for a job," reveals the viewer's favorite on the show.

"Hartz and warm": Dieter and Carmen are looking for a new home - and have a difference of opinion

Since Dieter only recently started looking for a job* again, he decided not to move so far away for the time being.

His plan: organize a new place to stay for the family in the area.

"But it's definitely clear that we want to get out of here," the cult barrackler continued.

His wife Carmen also wants to turn her back on the Benz barracks and move to a quieter area.

She's fed up with Mannheim: "I want to get out of the city completely," reveals the mother of six in "Hartz and warmly".

However, the choice of the new home has not yet been made.

For Schalke 04 fan Dieter, however, there is a clear favorite: "My dream was to look for an apartment in Schalke".

However, the Barackler reckoned without his wife Carmen.

She doesn't think much of the idea: "No, I don't want to go to Schalke 04, I don't like Gelsenkirchen.

He's wanted that for 26 years - he can't do it," said Carmen resolutely.

It remains to be seen where the family will move to and how the other barracks residents will react to the move.
