This evening, on the stage of the Cultural Center in Hama, the International Theater Day was celebrated with a large audience.
The artist, Muhannad Zaidani, gave a speech on the World Theater by American director Peter Sellers, in which he said that the theater of epic vision, epic purpose, recovery, reform and epic care needs new rituals. In which all are equal.
Zidani considered that all playwrights in the world today are waiting to celebrate this occasion to demand the strengthening of the role of theater so that its kindness remains inspiring and inciting people to creativity.
After that, the National Union of Syrian Students branch in Hama presented a theatrical performance of “Dario Fu” entitled “The Widow”, prepared and directed by Fadi Al-Yassin, in which it dealt with the suffering of a family consisting of a husband and wife when two interfere in the lives of the spouses and reveal their secrets within a comic template.
In a statement to SANA’s reporter, Muammar al-Saadi, head of the branch of the Artists Syndicate in Hama, stressed the importance of the youth’s role in promoting the theatrical movement, especially after the creation of the National Theater Department in the governorate, explaining that 5 performances worthy of being presented on stage within this celebration were selected through the existing cooperation between the Directorate of Culture and the Directorate of Theaters. Music and all institutions concerned with cultural affairs.
It is noteworthy that the celebration of World Theater Day continues until the 31st of this month.
