A world star of classical music is coming to Benediktbeuern in the summer.

As the organizers have now announced, Jonas Kaufmann can be seen at his only open-air concert in Bavaria in the monastery on Thursday, July 28th.

Benediktbeuern - Jonas Kaufmann presents a classic Midsummer Night's Dream accompanied by soprano Rachel Willis-Soerensen and the orchestra of the Augsburg State Theater.

According to the organizers' press release, Kaufmann is currently the most sought-after singer in the world.

He gives concerts in the Pfaffenwinkel as part of the festival "Der Pfaffenwinkel live" in the Maierhof courtyard of the Benediktbeuern monastery.

Jonas Kaufmann is at home in all opera houses in the world, he shines as an opera and concert singer as well as a song interpreter, the organizers write.

"Whether at the Met in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London or the Bavarian State Opera, Jonas Kaufmann is currently the most sought-after singer in the world, honored as Singer of the Year, appointed Bavarian Chamber Singer, honored with the Echo Classic and the Bavarian Maximilian Order for Science and Art.

The tickets cost between 245 and 84 euros.
