In England, a man has been exposed who has built up a collection over the years that you can even see on Google Earth.

A local resident describes the quarrels with her neighbor.

OXFORD - In Oxford, southern England, police have put an end to a 54-year-old's bizarre obsession with collecting.

After residents complained that they were increasingly having rats in their home, they called the police.

When this approached, she was amazed.

Officers found a mountain of bicycles.

A neighbor told

the Daily Mail

there must be at least 500.

The heap is so big that it can even be seen on Google Earth.

The man was arrested.

He was charged with handling stolen goods and possessing criminal property.

Colleen Butler has lived on the street for 32 years.

Her neighbor has lived there for almost a decade, she told the

Daily Mail

.

The passion for collecting is said to have started five years ago.

"When I spoke to him, he said that the bikes were sent to Africa for children in need, but as you can see they never went to Africa," Butler said.

The bikes would mostly be delivered at night by vans.

When more and more rodents were on her property, she turned to the local council.

"I had rats, I had arguments with him and other neighbors, my fence was knocked down.

It scared me so much," lamented Butler.

The man is said to have even tried to intimidate her.

Butler said her father gave her a dog to protect her.

Butler takes the arrest of the collector as satisfaction.

For four years she fought against all odds, "and I'm still fighting it now."

Butler hopes the pile of bikes that fascinates on Google Earth will soon be removed from the garden.
